  • Exercise stimulates enzymes (deiodinase enzymes) that convert inactive T4 into the active form of thyroid hormone called T3. T3 is essential for metabolism and energy production and is the activated form of your thyroid hormones (not T4).

This means physical activity, improves your body’s ability to turn T4 into T3, especially in your muscles.

More T4 hormone is produced
